Mindful Movement for Kids uses the Nurturing Pathways® curriculum. 

Nurturing Pathways® is a unique Creative Dance Program based on neurological principles regarding movement’s central role in brain development and the importance of parent-child bonding. The curriculum targets developmentally appropriate movement practices to strengthen:

– Sensory Processing and Motor Skills 

– Social-Emotional Growth

DancZen Classes

A new series of 90 min. DancZen Classes. No partner or experience needed.

In the Stepping in to series we explore a particular music style in each class. Learn some basic Footwork & Posture, add a little dash of Attitude, then practice your new moves with a few easy Line Dances.

The Man Moves class is for men only. Dale will lead the men through a series of simple exercises, foot & attitude for more confidence on the dance floor.

Women love to dance, men fear dance…no more! Drop your fears of being dorky or foo-foo, and learn how to move like a man on the dance floor.  Easy exercises, simple foot work, and the attitude adjustments that get you to take the floor with confidence.

Come learn some easy, fun BLUES Moves, improve your dance skills, and have more fun on the dance floor. You will learn some basic Blues moves: Side steps, Step Touches, Slow Drags, Sway Steps & the Fish Tails, then practice them with a few easy Line Dances.

STEPPING IN TO SWING

7 – 8:30pm / $15
No partner or experience needed.
Advance registration required. 

Come learn some easy, fun SWING Moves, improve your dance skills, and have more fun on the dance floor. You will learn some basic Swing moves: Rock, Triple & Shuffle Steps then practice them with a few easy Line Dances.

Line DancZen with Peggy Bates

Our Friday Night Line DancZen classes are a great way to dance to a variety of music with a group of people. Come find your groove and get the 3R’s of Partner Dancing… Rhythm, Repetition and Reflection, with a healthy dose of Attitude. We dance to contemporary music that includes Country, Soul, Latin, Zydeco, Waltz and more.

No partner or experience needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and smooth soled, non-marking shoes and leave your sweaters at home.

Classes are $10 pp (cash or check)
